The most common form of shelter in Thailand is a bamboo leaf thatched roof hut - a one-roomed bungalow that breathes the jungle air, sunlight and rainwater. Brightly colored paints and fruit smoothies fill the space between brown huts and green jungle fauna and we feel at home. These organic homes are living sanctuaries for wanderers such as ourselves to settle.
